The “Irkutsk” Putin and the “Omsk” Putin don’t look good.

But seriously, Putin has become a problem for everyone – both inside and outside Russia. He is a problem for Russia’s elites and for “allies,” including China. Putin is a problem for the United States and the European Union.

Putin has completely lost touch with reality. The only thing that interests him is endless war.

This situation cannot last forever.

Putin is losing his second campaign in the war — and this time the excuses don’t work.   The failed blitzkrieg of 2022 was a major setback, but Moscow still believed its manpower and money would guarantee victory in a long war of attrition. Four years later, that logic has collapsed.
Russia entered the war convinced that mass + money = victory. But warfare changed while the Kremlin kept fighting yesterday’s war.
🔥 What Moscow underestimated:

Technologies like drones, AI systems and precision weapons reshaped the battlefield.
Resource superiority turned into a trap — it allowed Russia to keep a failing strategy alive.

Costs now rise faster than gains as the army pushes toward Donetsk.
New capabilities were treated as “supplements” — until they became decisive.

Putin tried to win a 2026 war with 2000‑era thinking. Ukraine and its partners reinvented the battlefield — and Russia noticed only when the losses became impossible to hide.
