The “historic” meeting between Lavrov and Rubio in the Philippines lasted only 35 minutes.

It’s impossible to discuss anything truly serious in that amount of time.

1,460 troops lost in 24 hours — and the total since February 2022 is now an almost surreal 1,434,690. That’s not an army. That’s a statistical tragedy.

Equipment losses? A shopping list from hell: – 28 tanks – 12 armored vehicles – 78 artillery systems – 1,688 drones (yes, in one day) – 541 vehicles Plus assorted rockets, special gear and the usual “nothing new in the air today.”

The military logic is seductive.

Kharg moves roughly 90 percent of Iran’s crude exports.

Qeshm hosts the fast boat fleet harassing shipping.

Larak watches the strait. Take those three and the chokehold weakens overnight.

Geography ruins it.

Kharg sits about 25 kilometers off the mainland, which means any garrison lands inside artillery, drone, and missile range of a country that has spent five months proving it keeps firing no matter what gets bombed.

Marines would be defending fixed positions with the sea behind them and Iranian television filming every hit.

And the strait still would not open.

Iran holds 1,700 kilometers of coastline, with estimates putting Bandar Abbas alone at 17,000 Marines to secure.

The Artesh, more than 350,000 strong, has barely fought yet.

Taking that ground would be the short part of the operation, and holding it would be the war.
